The story of art is as old as humanity itself, as is the art of storytelling, African Art, The Story Starts encompasses art from across Africa, some dating as long ago as 3000 years alongside work of this century, with a wide variety of artisitic styles on show from modern acrylic paint styles, localised iconographical representational art and photography to earthy creations, all with their own stories.

Since 1965 it has been home to many traders, offering fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, fresh fish, delicatessen, books, china, antiques, collectables and contemporary arts and crafts to name a few.
So if you're looking for something a little different, inspirational, fresh and value for money, visit the Market Hall...it's a unique experience.
The market trades on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, however, some stallholders open on Thursdays from 9.00am to 2.00pm. Please see opening hours for further information.
There are two public entrances and a combination of staircases and public lifts serve the upper floors. Other services include public toilets. There is on street parking outside and larger, surfaced car parks nearby.
