CHARITY CYCLE RIDE on Saturday 22nd Feb at 10am - organised by Urban Bikes in conjunction with Cycle Shrewsbury, the route is a 10-mile cycle, suitable for families and absolute beginners, led by trained ride leaders. The cost is £3 per rider, or £5 for families, with proceeds going to Omega Chatterbox telephone befriending service. To take part, please call 0845 259 3163 or turn up on the day.
VAN Gallery is springing open with a delightfully varied collection of upcycled works from nine Shropshire artists. Upcycling is the transformation of matter normally consigned to the waste or recycling bins into objects of delight, function or adornment.

With its commanding clock tower, Shrewsbury Market Hall stands proud between Shoplatch and Claremont Street. Since 1965 it has been home to many traders, offering fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, fresh fish, delicatessen, books, china, antiques, collectables and contemporary arts and crafts to name a few.

The market trades on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, however, some stallholders open on Thursdays from 9.00am to 2.00pm. Please see opening hours for further information.
There are two public entrances and a combination of staircases and public lifts serve the upper floors. Other services include public toilets. There is on street parking outside and larger, surfaced car parks nearby.
